Love In Action is a ministry team of NLS that spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ through acts of compassion in our hometown of Homestead/Redland, Florida.
We provide the following items:
- Food for the needy
- Gas for the vehicle
- Backpacks full of school supplies
- Bags of Blessing (Thanksgiving Bag for Families in need)
- Affordable Christmas where parents in need can come and purchase brand new gifts for their children at only 10% of the original price of item. For example: a parent purchased a Playstation 4 Bundle this past year for $29. She was so overwelmed with the generosity from NLS.
"I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me."Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:35-40 that we are to take care of the neediest among us. In verse 40 He says,
BREAD TEAM
Every Sunday, we have a team that picks up baked goods from Two (2) Publix stores. The Team then brings the items to the church cafe. Upon the tribe's arrival items are free for them to take home for their family, neighbors, and friends. What is not collected from NLS memebers, a local church comes and collects the remaining items for their church family & friends.
FARM TO FAMILIES
